Scholarship Description

The Harvard Global Health Institute, in partnership with the Global Health and Population Department, accepts applications for the Harvard LEAD Fellowship for Women. This transformational fellowship promotes leadership skills in fellows from low- and middle-income countries. Applicants should be female with potential, which will, in turn, mentor future female leaders in global health.

Harvard LEAD fellows will benefit from a tailored leadership training program, independent project work, and speaking and networking opportunities. Additionally, this unique opportunity enables fellows to build a global network of peers and make relationships across schools and departments of Harvard University.

The academic year 2024-25, the Harvard LEAD fellowship will start from September 2024 through August 2025. The fellowship structure is virtual, with a four-week in-residence experience in Cambridge in April 2025. The program’s curriculum includes executive coaching, speaking engagements, mentorship, executive education courses, meetings, workshops, events, and networking.

The 2024 – 2025 LEAD Fellows cohort will join a global community of former fellows from 16 countries across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and South America. Their expertise covers various fields, including HIV/AIDS, healthcare, and health policy.
